Do you follow Senate and Congressional races just for fun? Do your top sites include several political news outlets and blogs? Are you interested in getting involved in a multitude of high-profile political races across the country? If so, then Strategic Media Services wants you as a competitive spending analyst for the 2018 political cycle. We are a Republican media agency seeking a politically-minded person to track political spending from opposing candidates, Super PACs, and political parties.
Daily tasks include gathering and organizing media buys, data entry and manipulation, and communicating with TV and radio sales representatives; all to generate actionable spending reports for political clients. The position involves research on political candidates, races, and PACs at the federal, state, and local level: candidate should have an understanding of current political races and events, and previous campaign experience or experience in a political office is a plus. This position requires the ability to work well under pressure, as part of a team, in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional attention to detail is a must. Experience with Excel is required; experience with a database management platform and Tableau are preferred.
